First of all, brush up your basic Grammar concepts. Many of the MBA aspirants would have learned British English from the very beginning. The major difference in British and American English lies in the pronunciation, vocabulary, spellings and idioms. Although very few, there are actually some differences between American and British English with respect to grammar also. An example is here:

Start your grammar preparation with Manhattan Sentence Correction book. This book is my favorite. Focus on grammar and try to finish off the book in about 15-20 days. Read the basic stuff thoroughly before solving the exercises. The explanation in this book is completely justified so that you can understand the logic behind every solution. Don’t rush to finish the book. You should be understanding your root problems while reading this book and try to clear all your doubts.
Next start with the GMAC Official Guide. You can completely solve the entire book in around 15 days. So stay tuned and solve all the problems before you get exhausted or bored. Utilize the common errors section of these books. Work on your weaknesses and work on idioms. Knowing and being familiar with idioms is very important to crack the GMAT. All the best………
